Cruising Around

The flight up to Baghdad

We flew up to Baghdad in a C-130. It was hot.
Here is a picture of me being hot.

My friends, also hot.

Udari Range

While in Kuwait, we were sent to the Udati Range for some convoy and marksmanship training. Again, I was a gunner. Though not me, you can see a gunners head sticking out of the middle truck in the picture below.
Early morning start.

Camels!!!

I should have included this in my last post. This is the inside of the tent that I was staying in while I was in Kuwait.

Kuwait

I spent about about two weeks in lovely Camp Virginia Kuwait.

Our tents.

Our showers.

Our bathrooms.

The scenery.

Of course, there has to be a McDonalds.

(...and a Pizza Hut and Subway, War is Hell)

NARMY STRONG

Next post will be Kuwait......

We should start at the beginning..... Fort Jackson

Fort Jackson is home to Camp McCrady. This is where we unruly sailors get our first taste of Army life. All I can say is that there is a reason I joined the Navy.

Joking aside, the training was very good and it did prepare me for what was to come.

Keep in mind that I did not own a camera while I was there. These pictures are from friends who were kind enough to share with me.

I was Gunner
(Disclaimer: In Iraq we don't use flatbeds)
